Over the past decade, nanotechnology has totally transformed from academic research to commercial reality. Attempts have been made to construct membranes using nanoparticles, microgels, crosslinked proteins, etc., and although these nanostructured membranes offer remarkable permeability and selectivity, their long-term performance and stability are a big concern.
We are interested in synthesis, characterization, and use of functional nanomaterials and 2D materials to develop ultra-thin and stable membranes for separation, energy, and environmental applications.
